There is a high demand for Massage Therapists and Spa Specialists throughout the Country.
International Academy’s Massage Therapy curriculum is designed to train a student in therapeutic massage therapy, which includes anatomy and physiology (A&P) as well as a unique hands-on classroom experience in basic Swedish massage. The program consists of 600 clock hours of training to sit for the MBLEX examination to become a Licensed Massage Therapist in the State of Florida.
Massage Therapy students will explore human anatomy and physiology, then they will learn pathology, as well as the allied modalities such as reflexology, sports massage, hydrotherapy, aromatherapy and hot stone massage. In addition, our faculty will prepare Massage Therapy students, to take and pass the MBLEX exam for licensing.
Our Massage Therapy program prepares graduates to meet the requirements for entry-level employment as a licensed massage therapist in their own private practice or in the medical offices of physicians, chiropractors and/or physical therapists. Successful massage graduates may also find employment in medi-spas, health spas, hospitals, massage clinics as well as cruise lines.
