Before I came to International Academy I was working a job that was both physically and mentally draining. I came to International Academy and fell in love with not only the facilities but also the staff. The teachers and administrators really care about their students and want them to succeed. The difference I found in this school vs. others was that at International we were like a family. I completed both the massage and skin programs and was prepared to go out into the real world. I graduated and obtained a great job in the same week. I chalk that up to the skills I learned at International Academy.

Hair has always been a great passion of mine, and when I knew cosmetology was the career I wanted to pursue, I looked long and hard for a loyal school. I found the perfect one, International Academy! So, I packed up my bags from Chicago and moved down to Florida. I learned great skills in coloring and cutting and had lots of feed back from all of the great, knowledgeable teachers. I have now been doing hair for 5 years and am having great success!

. . . After many years as a practicing lawyer and not yet ready to retire, I decided to re-visit the skincare business. Being an active octogenarian I enrolled at the International Academy, a private school, graduated, and obtained my state license as an esthetician. IA is a fabulous school, providing interesting classes, patient teachers, and an overall pleasant [experience]. I have been actively working in a salon in Florida and loving every minute of it. Who says you can’t learn a new skill and start a new career at 80!

I have owned my spa and salon for 13 years in Florida. I was introduced to International Academy one year ago. During that time I have hired four graduates of the Academy.
