Frequently Asked Questions

When should I submit my application for admissions?

Students should apply for admission as soon as possible in order to be officially accepted for a specific program and starting date. To apply, students should complete the Application Form and send it to the school or call for a priority appointment to visit the school and receive a tour of its facilities.

Do I need to visit the school, in person, to enroll?

All applicants are required to complete a personal interview with an admissions representative. Parents and spouses are encouraged to attend. This gives applicants and their families an opportunity to see the school’s equipment and facilities and to ask questions relating to the academy’s curriculum and career objectives. Personal interviews also enable school administrators to determine whether an applicant is acceptable for enrollment into the program. If the student applying is unable to visit prior to attending classes (student is from outside of the United States and in need of a Student Visa to gain entry to the US) this step can occur via telephone or internet.

Yes. A high school diploma, GED equivalency or Home School diploma is required to enroll in any program at International Academy.

Is there an application fee?

Yes. A non-refundable $100.00 Registration and Enrollment Fee is required at the time of  enrollment. Once an applicant has completed and submitted the Application and Enrollment Agreement, the school reviews the information and informs the applicant of its decision. If an applicant is not accepted, all fees paid to the school are refunded.

The following items must be completed and submitted at the time of enrollment:

It keeps you in school a little longer, but it is complimentary. Over the years International Academy has trained students from over 40 states and 25 countries. We always want our student to be covered where ever they may decide to relocate, have it be within the US or abroad. International Academy will be more than happy to help you research the requirements for the state or country you may be considering relocating to, but it is ultimately the students responsibility to contact the transferring states Board for accurate information.

Testimonials

With the education I received from International I quickly advanced in the industry. After graduation I quickly surpassed colleagues in my salon and moved into management after six months. After only three years I was able to open my own salon which has been very successful. All of this has been possible because of International Academy!

I searched for six months looking for a school where I could learn cosmetology and fully learn esthetics in the same place. When I finally found International Academy, I thought it was too good to be true. The Administration was so caring and attentive to anything that I needed to make my transition to Daytona and into school as easy as possible. Also, the facilities at International Academy are amazing! The equipment and products that we trained with are of the highest quality. The equipment in the school spa is more up-to-date and high-tech than many of the professional spas out there today. I feel like International Academy has thoroughly prepared me to be one of the best in the beauty industry!
