The objective of the Full Specialty Program is to gain the knowledge and skills that will prepare a cross-trained individual for work in the business of esthetics, nail technology and receptionist.
International Academy’s Full Specialty curriculum includes both skin care and nail technology training, along with receptionist training in our fully equipped high end student spa/salon training facility. The skin care portion of the course includes training in the latest treatments such as spa therapies, hydrotherapy, and paramedical facial treatments such as microdermabrasion, ultrasonic facials and state of the art skin analysis. The nail technology portion of the program will train student in artificial nails, natural nails and nail art. In addition, the receptionist portion readies students to perform receptionist work; ie. phone etiquitte, client relations, and appointment setting, etc.
The graduate of the Full Specialty program will be cross-trained as an esthetician, spa technician, nail technician, specializing in both natural and artificial nails. In addition an International Academy Full Specialty graduate is highly knowledgeable in technical, business skills and professional image. Strong emphasis will be placed on retailing, customer service, personal, and professional advancement. At the conclusion of the program the student is ready to be licensed as a Full Specialist. No State examination is required.
Weekly Class Schedule for 600 Hr Full Specialty Program
Full-time Days: 30 hours per week, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday
Part-time Days: Minimum of 20 hours per week, 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
Part-time Nights: Minimum of 20 hours per week, 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Monday through Thursday.
